Yes First to six as at end of day points do not mean anything and you need 6 to win.
I do find though that most teams are quite happy to carry on and play all eleven frames. A bit of match practice helps us all.
Also not all teams will do food for a Cup/Salver match. Years ago you were honoured if you got food. These day I think you would get fed more often than not.
If you win this prelim you go in to the Cup Comp and if you lose you go in to the Salver comp.

Would just like to say well done to George B! It was a good night with some good pool, it looks like a white wash but everyone played well and it just didn't go the Crown's way! Good luck in the Cup! |

Well what can I say. We (Riley's Rumblers) Played Queens Head B at there place and yet another great match between the both of us.
Started off badly by being 4-1 down after the first five but managed to keep slogging away and get it to 5-5 making it yet another decider. Last game was tough on both players but M. Rasak managed to take the last frame for the Queens Head.
Always a great match when we both meet and yet another 6-5 as is all our other meetings, we have got them again later on in the season so we will be hopeing to break the 6-5 curse.

We have the same curses as other teams do
Rulers with fox and flowerpot b when kerry as cpatian would always be 6-5 to rulers away and 6-5 to flowerpot at rulers/ old woking team home
Rogues aka hare and hounds previously always used to be 6-5 with fox and flowerpot a either way at every meeting till last season where they broke the crse and won 7-4.
Some strange things eh lol
Bring on the salver
